Trusted Living Plus works hard to ensure that all our young people are in the right place at the right time and with the right support to ensure they have the very best opportunity to work towards successful and sustainable independent living. We believe that no one agency or sector in isolation can make a real difference to the quality of life for our young people. All our staff work hard to develop local links and work collaboratively with agencies that support this approach. Through a robust programme of individually designed support effective house management, we currently enjoy an excellent level of success with young people successfully sustaining their independence and housing options once moving on from our provision.

Why us

Support Services

We strive to support all young people based on their identified needs and the level of intervention required. Trusted Living Plus is aware of the wide range and diversity of the support needs of vulnerable young people, asylum seekers/refugees and the wider BME community, within the West Midlands and surrounding areas. All our staff recognise and respect the complexities many young people face within the family dynamics and peer influences/ exploitations within communities which many young people have been exposed to from an early age. We have qualified staff who are able to deliver one to one or group support in line with the package of support and care requested by the placing organisation/Authority. The support package will be delivered as detailed within the individual placement agreement (IPA) with the requested amount of support per day/ week.

Our keyworkers are able to offer advice and support on the following areas:

Supporting young people with Accommodation:

Trusted Living Plus is able to provide a range of property types which are suitable for young people and the type of support package required. We have single occupancy accommodation and shared accommodation with 2-6 bedroom properties that offer a consistent family-feel environment, in which a young person can feel safe, secure, and able to grow and re-build their path into adulthood.

All of our accommodations are regularly fire risk assessed by a fully registered fire risk assessment company. The homes are maintained to a high standard and are regularly inspected to ensure all of the furnishings meet the required standard and provide a homely feel to meet the needs of the young person. All of our accommodations are fully furnished to ensure the comfort of everyone who lives there.

Staff can be onsite 24 hours if this level of support is required. In some instances where the young person is working towards independent living and is approaching 18 years and onsite support is not required, support staff will visit the property weekly to ensure the young person is managing to keep the accommodation in a clean, tidy and well-maintained manner.

Education, training, and employment opportunities:

Our staff are committed to encourage all of our young people to think about their future and what it is they want to do when they reach adulthood. During the time spent with their keyworker young people will be supported to attend school, apply to college, complete CV’s discuss training or apprenticeships or support them in seeking employment. The allocated keyworker will listen to the young person and take note of their career pathway or interest. They will work together with the young person and other key professionals to identify the right provision and provide the continued motivation for the young person to attend and work towards achieving their future goals.
