Our Aims, Values and Standards
Trusted Living Plus recognises the importance of providing a culturally sensitive service for vulnerable and disadvantaged young people, including those who are seeking asylum and refugees. Trusted Living Plus was set up to meet the needs of communities by supporting vulnerable and socially disadvantaged groups which remains at the core of the organisations aims and values.
Supportive and Safe
Trusted Living Plus understands that many young people have experienced life trauma and have witnessed domestic abuse, drug use, and neglect along with other forms of abuse or have left war-torn countries and deprivation, which has impacted their emotional, psychological and social development. These vulnerable groups of young people deserve a sensitive, supportive and empathic approach from all agencies involved in meeting their needs. We have an understanding of the challenges involved in addressing the particular circumstances surrounding domestic abuse, employment, education, health, and the right to live without fear in a safe and secure home environment with nurturing and caring support staff.

The organisation has a clear ethos, which is to treat others as we would wish to be treated, which we have adapted as our value base. We believe everyone should have the right to feel safe in their home and be able to close their eyes at night without being frightened.

Trusted Living Plus aims to offer a safe haven to young people to re-build their lives
Trusted Living Plus provides a supported housing service offering a supportive and nurturing environment primarily for vulnerable young people and asylum seekers/refugees between the ages of 16 to 18 years. The support we provide our young people will be delivered by their allocated keyworker in a flexible, nurturing, non-judgemental way. We will respect each young person’s right to independence, safety, privacy and dignity to ensure they feel valued and listened to. The promotion of a young person’s religion, culture, race, ethnicity, disability, impairment, sexuality or sexual identity will be encouraged and supported to develop their self-esteem and confidence by staff.
